The 2022 Expat City Ranking by InterNations is out and the top 3 destinations are Valencia, Dubai, and Mexico City. All three cities excel in ease of settling in for expats. Congrats to Valencia for topping the list!
Dubai comes in second on the list and is a top destination for expats. 66% of expats find it easy to deal with local authorities and 88% are happy with the government services available online. 70% of expats are also satisfied with their jobs and the local business culture encourages creativity.
Dubai also excels in the Expat Essentials Index and its Admin Topics Subcategory, coming in first worldwide. In the Ease of Settling In Index, Dubai comes in 8th and expats are happy with their social life and feel welcome in the city. The Quality of Life Index also ranks Dubai at 6th.
Expats in Dubai are also satisfied with the infrastructure for cars (95%) and enjoy the culture and nightlife (5th) as well as the culinary variety and dining options (3rd). In the Working Abroad Index, Dubai comes in 6th and expats are happy with their job and the local business culture encourages creativity.
The Expat Insider survey by InterNations has been conducted annually since 2017 and evaluates the quality of life and satisfaction of expatriates from 177 nationalities.
